Actor Vijay is being questioned by 15 income tax officers for the second consecutive day. The actor brought back to Chennai from his shooting location, since then questioning is underway. Income Tax officials also searched the properties of AGS cinemas and film financier Anbu Cheliyan in Madurai.

AGS cinemas had produced Vijay starrer movie Bigil last year. Officials claims that their probe revealed unaccounted transactions between Anbu cheliyan and vijay.

His movie Mersal which was released in October 2017 opposed the BJP in Tamil Nadu and the ruling AIADMK. The movie contains dialogues that criticizing goods and services tax and notes ban.

It leads many political oppositions. But the officials saying that the searches are purely based on evidences and not because of any political vengeance
